Every month, the Zylpha team are committed to releasing a mix of new features and improvements that make the task of creating Court bundles feel less stressful. Here is a summary of everything that has been released this month.
You can now add placeholders directly into a bundle. These temporary files are perfect for when you are reserving space for documents that you don’t have access to. Placeholders can have their own name, description and page count too meaning that your Court bundles can stay complete and properly structured even when the files aren’t quite ready.
Following a comprehensive feedback and security review, we can confirm that the 20-minute automatic log-out for inactivity has been removed. We know that clients are going to phone at exactly the wrong time, and by logging you out automatically we have made things more difficult.
The iManage connector now shows users a list of their most recent matters by default. We’ve also updated the way that you search for matters, files & documents in the connector so that it is more closely aligned and consistent with our previous iManage connectors.
Administrators can now configure custom date fields to display inside the imanage connector. Those fields are also imported alongside the files, preserving the metadata from source to Court bundle.
When you have used the inbuilt PDF editing tools to make alterations to a document, when you are taken back to the bundle editor, it automatically takes you back to thedocument you were just working on. This means no more hunting through your longlist of files to find where you were.
Images in the .heic format (commonly image from iPhones) are now fully converted and added to the bundle. Previously these have been added as an attachment. We’llautomatically add them in the file orientation they were created at (for example landscape). HEIC files offer a great balance between quality and filesize, so it made sense to support them properly.
Some users were reporting that when using the PDF editor, that some characters were incorrectly rendering as <?> because of the source documents font not being fully embedded. We’re delighted to announce that this has been fixed.
Certain.msg files were failing to convert to PDF as part of the bundling process. The underlying issue has been identified and resolved.
