Swansea, SouthWales - Atkinson Lewis, a leader in the provision of expert witness evidence and advice to both the legal profession and social services, has chosen electronic document bundling software from Zylpha as the cornerstone of its secure document delivery processes.

Atkinson Lewis, whose specialist work encompasses fields such as mental health issues, drug addiction and child abuse had been seeking to enhance its document delivery processes as part of a continuous improvement strategy. With evidence delivery in such cases requiring both speed and complete confidentiality, Atkinson Lewis realised that by identifying the right document delivery solution, they could automate this process and therein deliver even higher service and performance levels to clients. New Version of Zylpha

Today Zylpha has announced a new generation of products in the document bundling and distribution market. To date the focus has been on costs saving in this market but Zylpha has recognised that business needs today go much further.

5 London Boroughs

Hounslow are one of five London Boroughs to adopt Zylpha over the past two years.

The reason is the increasing workload in developing multi volume childcare bundles, which were taking up to 2 working days to collate and amend.

Although Hounslow have 22 lawyers and case workers and are using a leading Case Management Systems the case workers found themselves manually duplicating documents to include them in the 6-10 court bundles produced in a typical month.

After examining a number of competitive products Zylpha's Court Bundle product was selected as the only product to offer an integrated and purpose built bundling solution that integrates with their existing Visualfiles Case Management System.

Documents held either in the Case Management System or on the network can be included in the bundle at the click of a button. Bundles for childcare, housing and general litigation can now be produced quickly and accurately as a single paginated and indexed pdf document.

Leicester City Council adopts Zylpha to cut costs and protect the environment

The council's legal teams are involved in many court cases, in particular from the Community Services Team with Childcare files. The workload is currently around 150 ongoing cases and bundles and cases can last for several years.

The high financial costs of court bundle production and distribution were consuming an increasing percentage of the Councils budget at a time when all budgets were coming under increasing pressure to cut costs.

The environmental costs of the paper production, printing and physical distribution were completely contrary to the Councils Environment strategy of dramatically reducing their carbon footprint. Leicester City Council is now benefiting from reduced printing costs as well as faster and easier bundle production using Zylpha Court Bundling. The whole process is much less time consuming and costly, while revising a bundle now takes seconds instead of hours. These improvements also work through into a reduced administrative burden and a reduction in storage requirements and costs. With Court Bundles now able to be distributed securely in an electronic format with Zylpha distribution delivery times have been turned from hours to seconds and the cost of distribution of each bundle have fallen from tens of pounds to pennies.

The council’s carbon footprint is reduced as a direct consequence of these solutions, enabling the council to make further progress in achieving its environmental goals.
