New Land Registry Business Gateway Integration Launched

Leading legal systems innovator Zylpha ( has announced a new Visualfiles integration with the Land Registry Business Gateway. The new system enables users of the LexisNexis Visualfiles case management system to request a broad range of information including office copy entries, search of whole (and part), bankruptcy searches, daylist enquiries and more.

As data is exchanged using XML, the information is then automatically returned into Visualfiles for later use.

For every conveyancing professional, time is at a premium yet many are forced to using traditional methods which puts additional pressure on them to work expediently. Add in the relentless phone calls and emails, and it is becoming increasingly harder to get any work done in the normal 9-5 working day.

Whilst this integration is not the ‘silver bullet’ that many will search for, it will make the conveyancing process easier by reducing the administrative burden on the conveyancer and their team. Less admin means more time to focus on the important stuff.

On top of that, by using the Land Registry Business Gateway it is cheaper when compared to postal requests, which means that the reduced cost can be passed to the client and making your costs appear cheaper. In such a highly competitive marketplace, winning clients could be as simple as a cheaper price by a couple of pounds.

As the information is requested and then returned within Visualfiles, it provides a full audit trail with users not having to leave your system to go and retrieve information. As there is no need to copy type information back into VisualFiles there is a significant reduction in data entry errors.

For his part, Tim Long CEO of Zylpha added, “Our ethos has always been to build software that makes lawyers lives easier. We know from our own experience that administration can take up a lot of a conveyancers day and our new HM Land Registry Business Gateway integration is just one way we can help to reduce it.

“Visualfiles users will welcome this new integration as it’s an opportunity to interrogate the Land Registry for information that underpins the conveyancing process and to use it to issue Contracts quicker and more efficiently.

“When combined with our other integrations there is no reason you could not receive signed instructions and payment, complete AML/ID checks and issue Contracts all on the same day.”
